Rebeca Mojica lost her job and get into big debts. She couldn’t find any new job for months. She asked friends for money. And everybody helped. But she didn’t pay back the money.

One day she went to hang out with her best friend and ask him for $100. And the friend gave it to her but said that these will be last $100 for her.

So friend already understood that he lost already these $100. And never will get back it. After that day they never hang out again.

That was the last chance for Rebec to get back on the feet.

The next day Rebeca went to a Renaissance Festival and noticed a unique metal belt made from chain maille rings. After searching for something similar, she couldn’t find the belts anywhere and decided to try and make her own.

Rebeca spent $20 on that first set of rings and sold a few belts to friends and family. However, it wasn’t until she started teaching other people how to make the belts that she really saw the potential for a business.

Rebeca began teaching chain maille classes and decided to sell the rings and pliers needed to make the belts to her students. She made $300 the first time she sold the supplies. Soon after, Blue Buddha Boutique was born and it rapidly became one of the top sellers of chain maille jewelry supplies. Right now they have dozens of shops around the country.

Blue Buddha Boutique now has 36 employees and is set to break the 3 million dollar mark in 2016.

Till this day friend of Rebeca didn’t get back his $100, because he didn’t answer the phone for her.
